I still get warnings during applying the patch:

Again building and installing.

I run

rd at dell:~/SW.nobackup/sane-backends$ SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=18 
scanimage -d 'epson2:libusb:001:003' --mode='Color' -y 297 -l 
0 --resolution='150' -x 210 -t 0 -v > test150.pnm 2> test150-patch2.dbg
rd at dell:~/SW.nobackup/sane-backends$

and at least imagemagick is happy with the scan:

rd at dell:~/SW.nobackup/sane-backends$ convert test150.pnm test150.png
rd at dell:~/SW.nobackup/sane-backends$ 

Seems now we are scanning 8 lines less than the requested 1754:

[epson2] written 1746 lines after color shuffle
[epson2] lines requested: 1746

Should we compensate for that from the beginning?
