[sane-devel] Canon ImageCLASS MF4350d, Ubuntu 8.04, scanner not found

This did the job. I had to tweak the udev rules file to correct
permissions (/etc/udev/rules.d/40-basic-permissions.rules) to use it
without sudo, though.

Now scanimage -L returns:
device `pixma:04A926EE_SJF995062591G' is a CANON Canon imageCLASS MF4320
multi-function peripheral

And scanimage -T returns:
