Hello,
we can check if it can be a gl847 with the 'lsusb' command under Ubuntu.
First run it with no argument to have the list of devices:
lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04f2:b024 Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd USB 2.0 Webcam
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 04a9:1904 Canon, Inc.
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 1bcf:0007 Sunplus Innovation Technology Inc. Optical
Mouse
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Then run it to get the detail of the Canon device. Here it is a LiDE 100
with vendor and product id 04a9:1904 (change to match your device id). If the
reported information matches (specially the bcdDevice value), it will be worth
trying to add it to gl847 devices:
