[sane-devel] Brother MFC-250C scanner support in sane

Just following instructions in /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libsane.rules in Ubuntu 
10.10 to get my scanner to work.

    # If the scanner is supported by sane-backends, please mail the entry to
    # the sane-devel mailing list (sane-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org).

It sounds like you'll update this file if I can provide the content.

As per Brother's guidance at

I had to add 

        # Brother scanners
        ATTRS{idVendor}=="04f9", ENV{libsane_matched}="yes"

to /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libsane.rules to be able to scan documents as a normal 
user.
