I got a CanoScan 9000F for a short test. I don't know exactly how long
I can test it, maybe a week or so.

Unfortunately I am far away to get the scanner working.

First I tried to use the driver for the 8800F with Opensuse
11.2, but the driver cannot be found with the yast scanner-installation.

Is there a repo for Opensuse 11.2 which contains the 8800F driver? I
would like to try, if I can use it with the 9000F.

With Windows XP, I installed 9000fwin1601ea24.exe
The readme says, it installed a Twain driver.
StarOffice 5.2 doesn't recognize the Scanner.
Any suggestion for Windows XP, that the scanner is recognized by the
system? I don't want to install the packaged software, which came with
the driver.

I can't see the scanner with usbsnoop. I attach a screenshot. If the
screenshot is removed in the mail, let me know and I upload it on my
webspace.

I ask you very kindly for a quick response, because I have to give the
scanner back very soon.

Al
