[sane-devel] moving head back takes longer than scanning

Hi,

I'm using SANE 1.0.22 with a Canon LIDE 210.  I've noticed that moving
back the scanning head takes quite some time.  For example, when
acquiring a preview with xsane (line art) the scanning of the whole page
takes 6.5 s, while the moving back takes 13.8 s.

Is there something which can be done to speed this up, or is it a
hardware limitation?
