[sane-devel] HP Scanjet G2710

Hello,
I am trying to use a scanner HP Scanjet G2710 under Debian Squeeze und Linux Mint 12 (Lisa)
under Gimp 2.6 using Sane as a backend. While the scanner works perfectly well in Windows
Vista, it shows "blueish" patches and in general a kind of "dirty" background. I wonder how
this could be fixed. Scanning is one of the very few things I still need Windows for...
