[sane-devel] Offering information about HP Scanjet 5530 Photosmart Scanner chipset

Hello,

I'd like to provide some information about this unsupported model. I 
bought one in 2004 and I was hoping for any driver release from HP. 
Lately, after borrowing a Windows laptop in order to scan my photos, I 
found myself in the second part of the joke: it scans one photo and then 
it complains about not being able to prepare the scanner again because 
of a lamp failure.
So I decided to open it and get the chipset number or any other detail 
you might need. Even photos of the dead machine, if needed.

There are two components which I might mistake as chipsets. The number are:

and

The board itself has the date: 27/05/03

I'd be happy to provide any other detail from the insides of the 
machine, or any examination output under Linux. I might need instruction 
though.
