Thanks John.
However, I'm using MacOS X. Of course the device is supported by the
vendor's software HP Scan Pro. I'd like to use SANE to get deeper control
over the scanner: brightness & contrast, ability to batch a scan with
multiple pass (for noise reduction), flats ...
