Hi, with this:
./configure --without-snmp BACKENDS=genesys --prefix=/usr
--sysconfdir=/etc --enable-libusb_1_0

it is the very same... (Except the libs are not linked against the old
lib of course.)

$ ldd ddd/usr//lib64/sane//libsane-genesys.so.1
        linux-vdso.so.1 =>  (0x00007fffbefff000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib64/libm.so.6 (0x00007fbbfdceb000)
        libusb-1.0.so.0 => /lib64/libusb-1.0.so.0 (0x00007fbbfdadc000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00007fbbfd74d000)
        librt.so.1 => /lib64/librt.so.1 (0x00007fbbfd545000)
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007fbbfd327000)
        /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007fbbfe1d4000)

thanks,
