Beschreibung: API-Bibliothek für Scanner -- Hilfsprogramme
 SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy) ist ein API (application programming 
interface), das einen standardisierten Zugriff auf alle Arten von Raster Bild-
Scannern wie Flachbettscanner,
 Handheldscanner, Video- und Photokameras, Frame-Grabber, usw. erlaubt. Der 
SANE-Standard ist freie Software, deren Diskussion und Weiterentwicklung jedem 
offen steht. Der Quellcode ist für
 die Unterstützung verschiedener Betriebssysteme, einschließlich GNU/Linux, 
OS/2, Win32 und vieler Unixe und ist verfügbar unter der GNU General Public 
License (wobei kommerzielle
 Anwendungen und Backends ebenso willkommen sind). 
  Dieses Paket enthält das Befehlszeilen-Programm scanimage, den Server saned 
und das Hilfsprogramm sane-find-scanner zusammen mit der jeweiligen
