[sane-devel] Benq (Acer Peripherals) 6698-0UE

I've recently installed Fedora 17 - and have a very old "Ready for Win98!"
flatbed scanner attached to it.
Simple Scan (working with SANE? I think :)) recognises
the scanner, but when I hit scan, I get the message "Unable to connect to scanner".
A bit of google has put me under the impression that I need to link to some firmware. However,
Benq nor Google can provide me anymore with said firmware... Would any of you perchance know
how to get my scanner going?
