Hi,
I am experiencing problems with my Epson Stylus SX525WD. I connected via
USB and installed the Epson SANE drivers from epson.net (iscan-data and
iscan) on my 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 system. The scanner is recognized by
`sane-find-scanner`.
When I try to access the scanner using SANE/scanimage, several problems
occurr. It takes a very long time for the scanner to respond --- 1m32s
--- yet `scanimage` lists the scanner. Scanning worked but was really
slow, too (1m52s). As I tried to use the scanner once more, the scan
failed taking 7m32 (error: ‘scanimage: open of device epkowa:usb:003:007
failed: Invalid argument’). Running `scanimage -L` one more time takes
3m2s, and the scanner is listed as an ‘unknown model’.
I added all relevant output at the bottom of the mail.
I hope someone can help me resolving these problems. Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Robin Krahl
