Hi,

I might be wrong, but have you installed  
esci-interpreter-perfection-v330-0.2.0-1_i386.deb?

The same scanner model works perfectly here on Mageia 3 (x86-64) with the  
following packages installed:

iscan_2.29.1-5~usb0.1.ltdl7.x86_64.rpm
iscan-data_1.23.0-1_all.rpm
esci-interpreter-perfection-v330-0.2.0-1.x86_64.rpm
