Hello,

I have a problem with a Canon MX370 scanner.

When I do 'sudo sane-find-scanners':

--
# sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the
  # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your
  # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.

  # No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure
that
  # you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.

  # No USB scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure
that
  # you have loaded a kernel driver for your USB host controller and have
setup
  # the USB system correctly. See man sane-usb for details.

  # Not checking for parallel port scanners.

  # Most Scanners connected to the parallel port or other proprietary ports

If I do it without 'sudo' I get a bunch of 'Access denied (insufficient
permissions)' and then the 'Pipe error' thing.

But it does recognize it when I do 'scanimage -L':

--
device `pixma:04A91759' is a CANON Canon PIXMA MX370 Series multi-function
peripheral
--

I tried 'scanimage -x 100 -y 100 --format=tiff >image.tiff' and this is
what I get:

--
scanimage: open of device pixma:04A91759_0031B6 failed: Operation not
supported
--

This is the output of 'dmesg|tail' after I connect the scanner:

My system is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Does anyone have any idea on whats going on?

Thanks in advance.
