[sane-devel] [pixma-backend] Test failed: MG2450

Hello,

at the website there was a hint "testers needed" for that device.
I try to get it running on a Ubuntu 14.04 environment.

First shot with on board sane version 1.0.14-9 failed.

after downloading an installing 1.0.24 (stable) as well as
sane-backends-git20140913 I had no success.

what I did:

With the Ubuntu (old) sane version there were listed 2 devices:
1. HP-Scanner (works)
2. Lenovo? fingerprint reader

With the fresh compiled source versions no scanners have been detected.

(the serial number ist modified for security reasons)

Do I have to install new sane-frontend software as well?
What can I do to provide you with useful informations to get it working
or at least to know that it would never work wit that version or setup?
