     Hello,

     yes, 4800 DPI works. Be aware that the motor is real slow in this 
resolution, and you may have the feeling it isn't doing anything. It 
also generates a bunch of data that takes take to be transferred over 
USB, 1x1 cm color scan is slightly more than 10MB.
