[sane-devel] [PATCH] Enable xerox_mfp to handle Samsung Xpress C1860FW

Hi there!

The Samsung Xpress C1860FW is a multi-function device (printer, copier, scanner, fax). It seems that it works fine with the xerox_mfp driver. Find attached a patch that adds its USB ID to the list of devices supported by the xerox_mfp backend.

The patch is against sane-backends-1.0.27, as that is what I’m currently using. Shrug. Adding it to the current development version is probably a no-brainer. I simply copy&pasted a few lines and adjusted the USB device ID.

I have not done exhaustive testing; this is why I left the status as “untested”; you might want to change it. What works fine (have not tested anything else): scanning a batch of A4 pages using the auto-feeder, with 75 dpi, in grayscale.

Hope you can use this. ☺

It would be nice if you could put me in Cc in replies, as I’m not subscribed to this list. Thanks!

Cheers!
