Hi, Derek!
The ADF functionality, especially the end of page detection, has been improved recently - Bernard (CC’d) contributed those great additions.
However, the changes aren’t in a released version of SANE, hence you might want trying to build it from most recent source - please see https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/blob/master/README <https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/blob/master/README> for instructions.
