1.0.28 is the most recent released version.  The "1.0.29" Rolf referred
to is (most likely) the latest version on our master branch in git, aka
"bleeding edge".  Rolf's PPA uses the latter to build binary packages on
a daily basis and should be showing versions like 1.0.28-361-g1e2f64dc
which is our bleeding edge as of writing.

On a straight Debian, I think you can install from Rolf's PPA without
any problems (but haven't tried in a long while).
