Hi Yuri,

thanks for your tips.

As the Brother DCP-7010 falls into the category brscan2 I have a similar
result:

ugust at august-VirtualBox:~$ cd /usr/lib
august at august-VirtualBox:/usr/lib$ ls -l /usr/lib/sane/lib*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 35 Mai  1 14:00 /usr/lib/sane/libsane-brother2.so
-> /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother2.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 37 Mai  1 14:00
/usr/lib/sane/libsane-brother2.so.1 -> /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother2.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Mai  1 14:00
/usr/lib/sane/libsane-brother2.so.1.0.7 ->
/usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother2.so.1.0.7
august at august-VirtualBox:/usr/lib$

I will check the links to the bug-tracker later.
