You may try to download and install binaries of my universal eSCL/WSD 
driver from here:

https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/pzz/

Chose your OS, then architecture (amd64/i386), then you need a package 
named sane-airscan-ng_XXX (without _ng it's a legacy package that 
supports eSCL only).
