[sane-devel] Red tint on scans in XSane & Skanlite

That does sound like a possible candidate! At the very least, it’s a
venue I didn’t look into yet.

I currently have libtiff 3.9.7 and 4.1.0 installed. /usr/lib/libtiff.so
points to libtiff.so.5.5.0 which should be the 4.1.0 version. My desktop
has the exact same versions though.

I was saving to PNG, but XSane has tons of options for saving in
different formats and tweaking lots of knobs etc. (one of the reasons I
couldn’t switch to something like simple-scan :)).

Let me test a bit with various output…

No additional changes, I get the same red tint saving to TIFF, PNM,
JPEG, PNG, PS, PDF.
I tried to tweak various compression settings and ended up turning
compression off completely (under Settings → File type), but still get
the same tint for both PNG and TIFF scans at least.

Anything else you might be able to suggest I could try?
