[sane-devel] Introduction to backends, hello world!

Hi,

I have a LiDE 90 and plan to work on it within the next 1-2 months or so.

Unfortunately the learning curve on scanner driver development is so
steep that I don't think it would be a good idea for you to try to write
a scanner driver when you're new to the language.
