Hi,

Just to report, as requested in the man page, that I have successfully
scanned a number of slides with the command:

     >scanimage --autofocus --ae-wb --format=png -p -d
coolscan3:usb:libusb:001:003 -o cd34a_e.png

This is using the Opensuse 15.6 operating system. Thanks for you help.

However the infrared option fails:

    >scanimage --autofocus --ae-wb --format=tiff --infrared=yes --batch
--batch-count=2 -p -d coolscan3:usb:libusb:001:003
scanimage: attempted to set inactive option infrared

I've tried it with and without the '--batch' flag. Any ideas??

Best regards,

David.
