[sane-devel] OCR with tesseract

Hi,

I'm a happy, long time user of xsane, presently on a Gentoo desktop.
Recently I tried to use OCR save, but the out-of-box setting with gocr
does not work. As I found out, gocr has vulnerabilities, and Gentoo has
tesseract instead.

Can xsane be set up for OCR with tesseract, and how? The Help page has
no item for OCR.

Actually, this is no big deal, I can do command line tesseract OCR on
the saved scan pnm image.
