Hi Krzysztof,

thanks for the reminder. I haven’t really found the time to try out the patches, but from a first look they seem ok to me. Thanks a lot for finding the time to fix this long-standing problem for Epson users. I don’t have any Epson hardware, but I’ll try it on my Acer Scanner to see if it breaks anything.

As for taking over as a maintainer: I really appreciate the offer. Just be aware that you might have to do it for the next 15 years or so. If you are serious about it, I’m all open for it.
