IIRC, xsane doesn't store a set of dimensions or position for the scan view
window. At least I cannot find anything in the settings save file.
I just had a try and if you maximise the view window, subsequent view
windows will also now be very large. This continues until you restart
xsane. That sounds like a bug. It would make sense for xsane to store the
last view window settings and zoom level.

It would also make sense for zoom to perhaps default to whatever level is
required to see the entire scan. I find that 100% is rarely very useful. I
will create an issue to address this on GitLab.
