Thank you; this is what I was seeking when I asked that your USB device
ID was.

This device is listed as supported in the pixma backend:

I _think_ this should be supported, but can you provide some additional
information for me?

1. Which version of SANE did you install?

2. Are you running as an ordinary user? (Can you try running `scanimage
   -L` as the superuser, e.g., with `sudo` or after `su`?)

Can you also run `SANE_DEBUG_PIXMA=3 scanimage -L` both with and without
elevated privileges, and share the resulting debug output?
