[sane-devel] No Backends found

Nether are scanimage, which is a command-line only program.  That said...

...I think things are just going to work.  If you have a printed photo of
your pet available to use as a test scan, put it in the scanner now.  Then
from the Terminal:

scanimage --format=png -o ~/Desktop/test.png

If things work out, your scanner will scan the pic and then put the result
on your desktop as a PNG file.
