<font face="Arial">I ran </font><em>sane-find-scanner -q and now
realise that the Visioneer XP 450 does not have the gt6801 or 6816
chip. I have a printer that also has a combined scanner and it was that
which was giving the results so powered it off.<br>

Xsane <i>run with only the visioneer scanner reports No devices
available.<br>
<br>
I believe that the Visioneer Xp 450 is part of the avision package. <br>
<br>
