thanks for the information.
I changed few lines Epjitsu backend for gt-s620 and tested it.
Initlializing(Firmware transportation and initializing on the scanner) only works.
this scanner's basic commands (Ex:checking status) are same as Epjitsu one,
but other various commands seem different.. it's a hard way.

yes- the epjitsu driver was created entirely by reverse engineering from logs of the windows driver in action. I have heard from other Epson scanner owners that the epjitsu driver can be hammered into scanning with their machines. However, there are enough differences between machines that integrating the changes will require significant rework.
The epkowa driver supports this scanner, but uses a precompiled binary
module which is only availible for x86, IIRC. Unfortunately, this
machine seems to use a different protocol from other Epson machines,
and is not supported by epson or epson2 drivers. The epjitsu driver
could perhaps be modified to support the V30, but it would take some
serious development effort.
Hi All,

i'm trying to work GT-S620(Perfection V30) on ARM netbook(Sharp Netwalker).
I tried Image Scan and Epson2 driver, but I can't work it.

I want to work it for my scanner camera. is there any ideas or suggestions?

Regards,
Ryosuke Kojima
