        I don't understand the genesys patch part. On master branch
    MAX_SCANNERS is defined as<br>

    #define MAX_SCANNERS (sizeof(genesys_usb_device_list) / \<br>
            sizeof(genesys_usb_device_list[0]))<br>

        so no out of bounds condition can arise.<br>
    <br>
       What are the context and purpose of these patches ?<br>
