You're welcome - I was applying the patch manually, line-by-line (my
workflows can be quite inefficient sometimes), and that helped to
notice it.

And yep, those clean steps could be a common area for similar
problems.  I suppose piuparts tests similar functionality for built
package removal/reinstall, but it's less common to build, clean and
then rebuild again in-place.
