Dear Debian setools package maintainer,

you added the build-dependency of python3-pdm-pep517.

As of October 2024, python3-pdm-pep517 is deprecated and
shall not be used anywhere. You do not need this package
to build the package or gain pep517 support. Please drop
this build-dependency from your package. On the Debian
Python Team side, we plan to block this package from
entering Debian 13 due to its deprecation. The severity
of this bug report will be bumped to RC when we do so.
