Hi Russel,
This bug was marked as affecting an undeclared file conflict for quite
long and I wondered when you'd eventually fix it and then noticed that
it was fixed, but my bug association did not notice the fixing and left
me believing it was still open.
So in reality, this problem is not completely fixed yet. Both
python3-sepolicy version 3.7-2 and 3.7-3 contain
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/sepolicy/gui.py and
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/sepolicy/sedbus.py as before. You removed
these files from policycoreutils-gui in version 3.7-2, but there still
is a conflict with policycoreutils-gui version 3.4-1 as included in
bookworm and upgrading from bookworm to trixie may cause an unpack error
if done in the wrong order.
I think python3-sepolicy really needs:
Breaks: policycoreutils-gui (<< 3.7-2~)
Replaces: policycoreutils-gui (<< 3.7-2~)
Can you add those and thus fix this long-standing bug for good?
Helmut
