This is something that's a big no-no from me. Not because collaboration
is bad, nor anything like it, but because it's Debian's GSoC projects
we're talking about, so we kinda want debian-specific tasks here.

While the idea is interesting, I think it's a bit out of scope for
Debian, and GSoC.

But, that's just my opinion, and one that's possible to change.
