If this file is restored in the package then d/copyright will also need
adding to.

It looks like the support was added in:

  commit 215ba9bde63346bf8e43885eb8be4a51f0098bff
Author: SZALAY Attila <sasa at debian.org>
  Date: Sun May 5 14:42:42 2024 +0100

Install smart-multi-line.fsm to enable smart multi line support

But then removed by:

  commit 5cb6d625cb4fac2708b3834ac9bf234ffd279237
Author: Laszlo Boszormenyi (GCS) <gcs at debian.org>
  Date: Sun Aug 18 12:14:00 2024 +0200

      Revert copyright and autopkgtest changes

I hope this can be resolved as the log noise is a little excessive!
