Hmmmm, connection refused is something else than not finding the IP
address of a host via DHCP.  This does not sound very good. :-(

Can you perhaps provide the shortest possible Python script that
reproduces this "Connection refused"?

This puts some pressure on me to finally solve this.  Hmmm, changed my
plans a bit but I'll see what I can do.
