Package: speech-dispatcher
Version: 0.11.4-2
Severity: serious
Tags: sid trixie
Hello,
The systemd .service file using Alias= and not symlink but as service is
not enabled, the symlink is not created.
That means that the LSB script and the systemd service are not linked
together.
This could be confusing for the users.
Best is to drop the Alias= statement of the service and create a symlink
next to it (speech-dispatcher.service -> speech-dispatcherd.service)
In addition to the possible confusion, systemd now prints the following
message in the dmesg:
SysV service '/etc/init.d/speech-dispatcher' lacks a native systemd unit file. ~ Automatically generating a unit file for compatibility. Please update package to include a native systemd unit file, in order to make it safe, robust and future-proof. ! This compatibility logic is deprecated, expect removal soon. !
Kind regards,
Laurent Bigonville
