Hello mentors,

 My name is Manasi Thakkar and I am an undergraduate student at University of Pittsburgh. My major is Computer Engineering and I am a junior. 
I very interested in this project Tux Code. I liked the idea of teaching programming skills in game version of app. I have a solid background in Java (3 years). I also have background in android studio which will be helpful. Also because I have been a tutor I can create an app which will make it easier for any beginner to learn basics about programming.I understand every specification about building an app but I am still doing some research about making it available in Desktop too (cross platform supporting version). Which I found out from research we can do with Visual studio's Tools for Apache Cordova. Which one I should be using for my development? Android studio or Visual studio? Also, what are you ideas about making it cross platform? 
I am going through source code and setting up the development environment. It would be helpful if you let me know where to go from here. Is there any test task I should complete before application period starts? 
I am very passionate about learning new skills and I will be giving my 100% to the project if I get a chance.Thank you.
