If we really want a tag in front of the commit identifier we should
specify the VCS: [Git:fed3f3d], [Svn:r1234], [Hg:fed3f3d] this would
help in the case where a package switches VCSs.

It's (of course) not git specific at all, that wouldn't help much. In
order to link back from the changelog to the VCS, we have all the needed
information in debian/control already.

kernel-package too:
