You may want to study how EGPs (BGP4) and IGPs (OSPF, ISIS) are usually
configured by ISPs.  Generally speaking, you need most of the features
of BGP4 to filter out these things.

Yes, so why not figure out if you can just use BGP4 to interconnect?
