Hi Sam(s),

For this kind if emails, it's probably better to reach all people
taking part in maintainance of SDL packages in Debian, and in that
case you should use <pkg-sdl-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>.

Other than that, the name of the package is probably going to be
"libsdl2" (many library packages in Debian are named with "lib"
prefix, even the source packages; and it's been also the case of
libsdl1.2 since the beginning). Related to this, it's not much of a
problem for us (since the debian/ subdir in our repositories will take
precedence over upstream's) that you rename entries in the changelog
of already released versions as you did in some of the commits
(below), but it's a bit historically incorrect for the packages who
will indeed enter the Debian archives (and hopefully, this one version
will). I don't think that it will have any practical effects, though.

    -libsdl2 (2.0.0~20130103-1) unstable; urgency=low
    +sdl2 (2.0.0~20130103-1) unstable; urgency=low

The removal of dependencies is probably fine. We will have to
harmonise packaging decisions between the old libsdl1.2 packages
(which are still going to live for a few years) and these new ones.
Unfortunately, with the current status of the freeze before the
upcoming stable release, there are many restrictions about things that
we can do.

Cheers.
