Without it I get:

SDK location not found. Define location with sdk.dir in the
local.properties file or with an ANDROID_HOME environment variable.

when compiling a simple project using gradle.

I tested it using https://gitlab.com/cde/AndroidHelloWorld, as seamlik
proposed in #debian-mobile.
