Dear all,
I have a bunch of questions and none of the answers, So here goes -
a. Can't we clean up the mailing list ? There is just so much spam on
the mailing list. It would be nice if we can clean it up, would make
it easier for us to find the answers or know what's what rather than
working through all that spam/
b. Because of covid-19 I took a chance yesterday and tried out
https://wiki.debian.org/AndroidStudio . The only difference is I took
android-studio-ide-192.6308749-linux.tar.gz .
Just setting up the emulator takes up so much space, it has already
taken 5 GB + and how much more it will take is beyond me. Although in
nautilus it only shows as 1.5 GB taken and I have no idea how much
more it will need. Does anybody know that ? I did install in avd
Android 10 [1] (maybe that wasn't needed) ?
I have ample of memory but maybe the android studio does not know that -
$ free -h
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 23Gi 3.7Gi 14Gi 337Mi 5.5Gi 18Gi
Swap: 59Gi 0B 59Gi
c. The KVM instructions given at [2] and [3] are a bit confusing.
Could somebody share what needs to be done. I will update the wiki
with the instructions as and when they work for me. My goal atm here
is to have an android emulator on which I can have google play store,
download apk's and use it as I would an actual device.
