[Android-tools-devel] building android-tools/systemcore packages

I'm trying to build android-tools/systemcore and running into difficulties.  I
have an orig.tar.gz built and that works, its when running the actual build,
whether via git-buildpackage or dpkg-buildpackage.

make[1]: Entering directory `/media/share/code/android-tools/systemcore'
make -C liblog
make[2]: Entering directory `/media/share/code/android-tools/systemcore/liblog'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `event_tag_map.o', needed by `all'.  Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/media/share/code/android-tools/systemcore/liblog'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/media/share/code/android-tools/systemcore'
dh_auto_build: make -j1 returned exit code 2
make: *** [build] Error 2

Something in the build process is removing that file, since that file is
included in the .orig tarball

How can I build these packages?
