Heh, I'm not sure there's a proper response to a large burst of
back-to-back packets that won't suck for all other traffic...

Yup, exactly. I've been thinking about how to do this in Bird as well,
but haven't gotten around to working on it either. We'll see who finds
the time first, I guess ;)
