[Debconf-devel] Bug#443753: /usr/share/debconf/frontend segfaults

Package: debconf
Version: 1.5.14
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software
It segfaults with frontend Kde. Can't dpkg-reconfigure debconf as that
causes a segfault too.
Manually changing under /var/cache/debconf/config.dat
Name: debconf/frontend
Template: debconf/frontend
Value: Readline
fixes the problem. However, if you don't (know how to) do that, package
breakages all over: libc6 fails to upgrade, xserver-xorg got into an
unusable state due to segfault during prerm etc.
