Please take a look at the packaging Git:
git clone git://git.debian.org/collab-maint/kiwix.git
git clone ssh://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/kiwix.git

Most Debian packages replace upstream packaging folders for some  
reason or other. Please be open to that, there may be several good  
reasons. However, it is always a good idea to cross-check with  
upstreams packaging folder (if provided) for reference.

Please do so and send us (debian-edu-pkg-team at l.a.d.o) the upstream  
Git location (it is probably in the package somewhere, list is quicker  
(for me)).
